Welcome to Geneq USA!

Founded by Mr. Maurice Parisé in 1972, the company initially specialized in testing equipment for soils, concrete, and bituminous concrete. A few years later, the company expanded its product range to include measuring, analysis, and sampling instruments for water and air, as well as meteorological and hydrometric stations.

• In 1976, the company was named GENEQ Inc.
• In the early 1990s, GENEQ introduced GPS systems to its product offerings.
• By 2000, GENEQ expanded into biotechnology with a new division focused on laboratory equipment for scientific research, education, and food quality control. In 2002, GENEQ launched its own high-precision GPS brand, SXblueGPS, with GNSS receivers and a network of distributors worldwide.
• In 2011, the company moved to its current location, occupying a more spacious 23,000 sq. ft. facility, better suited to serve our growing customer base.
• In 2019, GENEQ opened a branch in Toronto, complete with a local office and warehouse.
• In 2022, Tarik Berdous, who joined GENEQ in 2003 as a technical representative and became Sales Director in 2014, became a shareholder, preparing for the company’s succession and internal leadership transition.
• In 2024, Tarik Berdous completed the acquisition of GENEQ Inc. and became President, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the company.
• In 2025, we opened an office in the New York area to support our existing operations in the US, and to reach out to more potential customers.

Our team consists of about thirty employees, including a specialized service department with four technicians. These technicians are skilled in repairing and calibrating most of the instruments we offer, both on-site at our clients’ locations and in our workshop. 

Our four divisions are supported by a team of sales representatives who possess both technical and professional expertise, enabling them to offer expert advice and excellent service to the clients who have contributed to our success and reputation for over 50 years.
