Hanna HI98190 Portable pH Meter – Waterproof Professional Field Tester
Professional Portable pH Meter
Waterproof Field pH Meter for Laboratory-Grade Measurements Outside the Lab
The Hanna Instruments HI98190 professional portable pH meter is built for users who need accurate pH, ORP and temperature measurements in demanding field, laboratory and industrial environments. It combines the measurement performance of a benchtop-style pH meter with a rugged waterproof enclosure, making it suitable for environmental testing, water and wastewater, food and beverage, plating, chemical manufacturing and agricultural applications.
The HI98190 is supplied with the HI12963 titanium-body pH/temperature electrode, which includes a built-in temperature sensor for automatic temperature compensation. The titanium probe body is chemically resistant, durable and designed for field use, while the Quick Connect DIN connector allows simple waterproof connection without threaded assembly.
Professional pH, ORP and Temperature Measurement
The HI98190 measures pH, mV/ORP and temperature. For ORP testing, the pH electrode can be exchanged for a compatible ORP electrode, allowing the same meter platform to be used for oxidation-reduction potential measurements.
CAL Check™ Electrode Diagnostics
Hanna’s CAL Check™ system helps identify possible calibration problems, including a dirty or broken electrode or contaminated pH buffer. After calibration, the meter displays the overall electrode condition, helping users judge whether measurements can be trusted before continuing with testing.
Five-Point Calibration
The meter supports up to five-point pH calibration using seven standard pH buffers and five custom buffers. This helps improve accuracy across a wider working range, especially for users testing different types of samples throughout the day.
Waterproof and Rugged Design
The meter body is rated IP67 and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. The supplied probe is rated IP68 for continuous immersion, making the system practical for wet field conditions and demanding industrial environments.
Data Logging and GLP Support
The log-on-demand function stores up to 200 samples, including 100 pH and 100 mV records. GLP data includes calibration date, time, buffers used, offset and slope, supporting better documentation for quality control and routine testing.
Easy Operation in the Field
A backlit graphic LCD, dedicated function keys, virtual soft keys and on-screen help make the meter easier to use in low light, outdoor locations or field testing situations. AutoHold can freeze a stable reading on the display for easier recording.
Supplied Complete for Field Testing
The HI98190 is supplied in a rugged carrying case with the meter, electrode, buffer solutions, cleaning solution sachets, beakers, PC software, micro USB cable, batteries, documentation and certificate. The case includes a custom insert to protect components during transport and field work.
