Great for harsh environment temperature / humidity monitoring, Splash proof

RTR-503B is used in industries where environmental conditions must be carefully monitored for quality control, regulatory compliance, or product stability. Common applications include pharmaceutical and medical storage, food processing and warehousing, laboratories, museums and archives, as well as climate-controlled storage facilities. In these environments, continuous monitoring helps maintain proper conditions that prevent product degradation and ensure traceability during storage and transport. For example, temperature- and humidity-controlled monitoring systems are routinely recommended in pharmaceutical storage and supply chains to maintain product stability and regulatory compliance, as discussed in industry guidance on environmental monitoring and cold-chain quality management (NCBI: Cold Chain and Temperature Monitoring in Pharmaceutical Supply Chains). Wireless loggers such as the RTR-503B are particularly useful for monitoring multiple measurement points across large facilities such as warehouses or distribution centers where centralized data collection is required.

Reliable Temperature and Humidity Measurement

The RTR-503 logger has an external sensor for measuring temperature and humidity levels simultaneously. This unit is splash-proof and holds up well in environments with harsh temperatures and humidity levels. It will work with any of the RTR-500 series data collectors.

Features

  • Measurement Range: Temperature: 0 to 55°C
  • Humidity: 10 to 95 %RH
  • Wireless Collection of Recorded Data
  • Automatic Data Upload
  • Warning Monitoring Function

Collect Data via Wireless Communication with a Base Unit

Our RTR500B series data loggers function as remote units and must be used with one of our collection devices (base unit). The collected data can then be transmitted to a PC, our free cloud service, or your FTP server using various methods such as USB, LAN, and 3G network. In addition, functions such as tracking current readings and warning notifications make it a powerful data management system. * Select a Base Unit according to the type and scale of the measuring environment.

Wireless Features and Long-Range Communication

The RTR503B recorders have a wireless radio communication range with compatible base units of up to 150m (500ft). Data can be transmitted from a logger to a base unit, then automatically uploaded to cloud storage or saved to a specific location. Data can also be verified on your PC screen or on site with one of our compatible data collectors. The RTR-503B wireless temperature and humidity logger, with its wireless radio communication capabilities, is ideal for applications where multiple measurement points need to be managed simultaneously, such as in temperature-controlled storage facilities and warehouses.

Base Unit Requirement

This is a remote unit. To use wireless communication, it is necessary to purchase a base station separately. Compatible base units: RTR-500NW, RTR500AW, RTR-500, RTR-500DC, RTR-500GSM Learn more in the Instruction Manual / Quick Start Guide

For organizations implementing wireless environmental monitoring systems

Complementary devices can help extend measurement capabilities across different applications and levels of precision. For example, the RTR-507B wireless temperature and humidity logger with high precision sensor is well suited for controlled environments where tighter accuracy and a wider measurement range are required for sensitive materials or laboratory testing. Facilities that also need to track indoor air quality parameters may benefit from the RTR-576 wireless temperature, humidity and CO2 logger, which adds carbon dioxide monitoring for ventilation management and building performance assessment. In applications where environmental factors such as light exposure must also be documented, the RTR-574-S wireless temperature, humidity, luminance and UV data logger provides expanded monitoring capabilities for museums, archives, and other preservation-focused environments requiring comprehensive environmental data collection.

*1: When continually used in environments with temperatures above 60°C, the accuracy of humidity measurements will decrease over time. Also, humidity cannot be measured at temperatures below -20°C. *2: Only “Endless” is available when using the RTR500BW, RTR500BM, RTR-500NW/AW, or RTR-500MBS-A as a Base Unit. *3: Bluetooth is available when using the RTR500BW as a Base Unit and making device settings in the mobile app (T&D 500B Utility). *4: When using RTR-500B1 it is necessary to purchase a Lithium Battery (LS26500). For details, contact your local authorized distributor. *5: RTR-500A2 should not be used with the RTR501B, as it will cause the RTR-501 to display a higher than actual temperature reading of up to 3°C. *6: Battery life depends on several factors, including ambient temperature, radio environment, frequency of communication, recording interval, and quality of the battery being used. All estimates are based on operations carried out with a new battery and are in no way a guarantee of actual battery life. *7: This is the waterproof capacity of the data logger with the sensor connected. Note that the temperature-humidity sensor is not water-resistant.

The specifications listed above are subject to change without notice.

QUICK TIP: When it is time for the battery to be replaced, a battery warning mark will appear. Please change the battery as soon as possible a battery mark appears. If you continue to use the logger without changing the battery, the current temperature and (bAtt) will be displayed alternately and wireless communication will stop. ( Recording will continue). • If the battery is further left unchanged, the display will automatically shut off, and play previously recorded data will be lost. • Although the logger continues to work for a period after the battery has been removed, leaving the device without battery until the LCD display goes blank will cause all recorded data to be lost.
