Operation
Powered by 4 AAA batteries (included) for reliable portable use.
Construction
Durable ABS housing with wrist strap for convenient handling in field and lab environments.
The pH Meter for Food and Environment is used by food processors, environmental labs, agricultural technicians, and water quality specialists to measure acidity or alkalinity in liquid samples. Accurate pH measurement plays a critical role in food safety and environmental testing, and industry sources on analytical quality control explain that reliable pH meters with automatic temperature compensation help ensure valid results during routine testing and process monitoring.
Professionals value dedicated food and environment pH meters for their robust calibration routines, clear digital readouts, and repeatable results. Compared with test strips or basic portable meters, this instrument provides higher stability and resolution, improving documented quality assurance in food production, beverage formulation, wastewater analysis, and soil or water quality evaluation.
Design Features
Automatic and manual temperature compensation, auto buffer recognition, and calibration icon for precise and efficient testing.
This meter is praised for its portability, robust build, and ease of calibration. Industries such as food production, beverage quality control, and environmental monitoring benefit from its accurate readings and durable design, often preferring it over bulkier or more expensive alternatives.
Technical Q&A
Can the Starter 300 measure ORP in addition to pH?
Yes, it measures both pH and oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) in liquid solutions.
Does it include a temperature probe?
It includes automatic and manual temperature compensation. For improved accuracy, a separate temperature electrode can be used.
What batteries does it use?
The meter uses 4 AAA batteries, which are included with the product.
Is it suitable for field use?
Yes, its ABS housing and wrist strap make it durable and portable for both lab and field environments.
What makes this kind of instrument practical for daily use?
Portable operation, straightforward calibration routines, and application-specific sensors or scales help teams get faster and more repeatable results where the work is actually happening.
Who benefits most from this product?
Food manufacturers, dairies, and qa teams benefit most when they need quick, defensible readings for process adjustments, troubleshooting, or documented quality checks.
Because it combines Measuring range - 0.00 - 14.00 pH;-1999 - 1999 mV;0 - 100 °C, Accuracy - ±0.01 pH;±1 mV;±0.5 °C, Measuring resolution - 0.01 pH;1 mV;0.1°C, this product is a strong fit for food and dairy pH control in real operating conditions.
QUICK TIP:
Temperature measurement
For better accuracy, we recommend using either a built-in or a separate temperature electrode.
- If a temperature electrode is used, ATC and the sample temperature are displayed.
- If the meter does not detect a temperature electrode, it automatically switches to manual temperature compensation (MTC). MTC temperature should be set. (See section 3.1 in the manual)
Note: STARTER 300 accepts NTC 30 kΩ temperature sensor.
